OPENING TIMES

ChineseLanterns.co.uk is open for orders 24 hours a day 365 days a year. Office opening times are 9am to 5.00pm Monday to Friday . If you wish to contact us please use this page: 'Contact Us'.

We dispatch orders Monday to Friday sameday or next day. Delivery is quick as we are very attentive to orders.

MAKING A PURCHASE

Making a purchase is very simple. Just browse our on-line shop, and click on the shopping cart under the items you wish to purchase and they will be added to your 'cart' & taken back to the product page. If you require more than 1 of the same item click on the shopping trolley relating to the product and you will be prompted to enter the required quantity. After you have purchased all of the items you would like, click on "Checkout" (button on left of screen) and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to satisfy the order.

IF YOU NEED TO REMOVE AN ITEM FROM THE CART - click on 'View Basket' at the top left of the page & select 'Remove' on the item(s) you wish to remove - then click 'Update' - this will remove all items selected

ORDERING PROBLEMS?

If you are having problems ordering it may be due to settings on your computer. Here are a few tips:

Go to 'Tools' menu in browser window - click 'Internet Options' - click 'Delete Cookies' - 'Delete Files' & 'Clear History'
This will only delete files that have been stored when you 'surf' the net. Go back to the product page & click the 'Refresh' button - also found in 'View' menu

We have taken every care in the preparation of the content of this website, in particular to ensure that prices quoted are correct at the time of publishing and that all goods have been fairly described. However, orders will only be accepted if there are no material errors in the description of the goods or their prices as advertised on this website. All prices are displayed inclusive of VAT. If the price of the goods increases between the date we accept your order and the delivery date, we will let you know and ask you to confirm by e-mail that the new price is acceptable. Ordering errors

You are able to correct errors on your order up to the point on which you click on “submit” during the ordering process.

Payment terms

We will charge your credit account for payment upon receipt of your order unless delivery cannot be fulfilled within 30 days. We accept no liability if a delivery is delayed because you did not give us the correct payment details. If it is not possible to obtain full payment for the goods from your account then we can cancel the contract and or suspend any further deliveries to you. This does not affect any other rights we may have. There will be a full reimbursement in the unlikely event of a fraudulent credit or debit card incident.

Delivery

Please note that we are only able to deliver to addresses within the United Kingdom. We will deliver the goods to the address you specify for delivery in your order. It is important that this address is accurate. Please be precise about where you would like the goods left if you are out when we deliver. We cannot accept any liability for any loss or damage to the goods once they have been delivered in accordance with your delivery instructions. We will aim to deliver the goods by the date quoted for delivery but delivery times are not guaranteed. If delivery is delayed due to any cause beyond our reasonable control, the delivery date will be extended by a reasonable period and we will contact you to arrange an alternative time. Delivery charges vary according to the type of goods ordered and cannot be refunded – see also 'Delivery Info' on this site for full details of charges, timescales etc. Risk and ownership Risk of damage to or loss of the goods passes to you at the time of delivery to you, or if you fail to take delivery at the agreed time, the time when we tried to deliver. You will only own the goods once they have been successfully delivered and when we have received cleared payment in full. Goods supplied are not for resale. Acknowledgement and acceptance of your order You will need to provide us with your e-mail address and we will notify you by e-mail as soon as possible to confirm receipt of your order and to confirm details. An acceptance of your order will take place on despatch of the good(s) ordered. Cancellation rights Under the Distance Selling Regulations you have the legal right to cancel your order within seven days of receipt of your goods (with the exception of any made-to-order items).

Returns Policy

If for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, please notify us in writing (or by telephone) within seven working days after date of delivery, and return the goods to us with the original packaging and in a saleable condition. We will provide you with a full refund within 30 days of receiving the goods. We cannot replace items due to accidental damage or incorrect sizing. All faulty items must be returned within 7 days. All items returned to us must first be issued with a returns number - please contact us. For hygiene reasons, we can only accept the return of some products (piercing studs etc) with manufacturers faults - we offer a 30 day guarantee only.

Exclusion of liability

Any disclaimers and exclusions of liability in these terms and conditions shall not apply to any damages arising from death or personal injury caused by our negligence. These disclaimers and exclusions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. If any provisions of these disclaimers and exclusions shall be unlawful, void or for any reason unenforceable, then that provision shall be deemed severable and shall not affect the validity and enforceability of the remaining provisions.

Changes to legal notices

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time and you should look through them as often as possible. Law, jurisdiction and language This website, any content contained therein and any contract brought into being as a result of usage of this website are governed by and construed in accordance with English law. Parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales. All contracts are concluded in English. The Glow Company may, from time to time, send you details of new products or special offers via email.
